The blog reader lays all the pictures out with the bloggers commentary – which is absolutely hysterical!  Especially number 17 and 18. Oh my gosh…I could not stop laughing.  That seriously made my night!

I was supposed to go somewhere today but decided not to go. Rather, I am spending the day in bed, on my computer, being utterly lazy and enjoying every minute of it. I’ve decided to dig up some videos of people that I think are extremely funny.

Russell Brand – I do not know what it is, but I am completely charmed by this guy. I think he is SO funny and I love his  accent. He’s crude and dirty but  I just can’t help it! Also I love Craig Ferguson so I was happy to find a video with both of them

John Krasinski: He speaks for himself. Who doesn’t love him?? What a great story teller too…

Ellen Degeneres & Gladys: Best Ellen show EVER!!!!!!! I wish I could watch Ellen everyday. I wonder if she still calls Gladys.

I’ve been having a really busy / crazy / hectic /stressful month at work and it’s been worse than ever this week .  As such, I simply could not bring myself to go to the gym and instead ate some hummus on a ciabatta roll (yum). But about five minutes after my gym class would have started I remembered that one roommate was in CA for the rest of the week and the other had to work late! So I was now bored, stressed and lonely and decided I needed a full on break from reality.

So I picked up the phone (that’s a very big step for me) and called around to see who was free. Initially no one was which was very sad and depressing.  But then someone’s plans opened up and I found myself on a 30 minute drive to see one of my favorite people of all time – my pal Athena.

It was such a nice break from reality to get out of the area, far away from work and the people I see every day, even the ones who bring a bit of light to an otherwise dismal period of my life.  It was just like completely getting away from my life for a few hours and was remarkably cathartic.  All it really consisted of was dinner at a local restaurant and a trip to Wal-Mart.

The trip back was unfortunately met with a sinking feeling in my stomach that signaled the return to reality, but the few glorious hours away from it made a world of difference.

What a great weekend!  I’m so sad it’s over.

It began with a sexual violence awareness month movie — 1000 Acres, followed by a fun night as Salt Hill where Wherehouse was playing.

Yesterday we did the death march at Queeche Gorge (my favorite) and then kicked some ass at robot aggression defense class. This was followed by some hookah smoking, spaghetti squash eating and awesome 80 degree weather enjoying.  Afterward Liz and I saw a not so awesome play at the Northern Stage and returned home where we were on the receiving end of a water balloon ambush!

The weekend took a sudden downward turn this morning as it was spring cleaning day at the RRR.  But it quickly improved whilst running errands with the roomies and having quesadillas and milk shakes.  We all got in touch with our emotions watching Marley and Me.  After that I began my transformation as a gypsy.  Earlier in the day we bought a beginner’s guide to reading tarot cards (complete with the cards) and I tried to fill my brain with as much info as possible.  I then got into my ‘costume’ and put on some makeup that was supposed to be costumey and gypsy like too, but really it just made me look awesomely fierce…seriously, I could have been on America’s Next Top Model…Tyra would have been floored.  Anyway…ultimately I wished I knew how to read tarot cards and think it would be a cool thing to get into…but first I should probably convince myself that it’s real stuff! I only read a few people’s cards and mostly said stupid things…but I had a lot of fun!

Side Note: For my first tarot card reading I did myself and the outlook was not good! I got the death card coupled with the hanged man and the three of swords. When I looked in the book all of these meant that I was going to die of a heart attack.  Excellent. Maybe quesedillas and milk shakes weren’t the best choice…

Anyway…it truly was a great weekend and I’m really sad to be going back to work tomorrow. I don’t think this week (or this month for that matter) are going to go very well…my cards certainly didn’t indicate otherwise.

I was just googling pelicans because apparently pelicans and puffins are not similar…at all. Well as I was doing so my roommate yelled to me from the hallway to ask if we had any more carpet cleaner. Turns out her dog barfed ALL OVER her bedroom.  She puked twice (in the bathroom) in response and the entire upstairs of our house now smells like shit – because of dog puke not Liz puke.  It’s absolutely the worst most penetrating vomit I’ve ever smelled in my life. DISGUSTING.

Pelicans and Puffins will now forever bring back this atrocious smell. They now have a common bond…other than the fact that they are both birds.

A few weeks ago I went to Boston with a few of my old friends from college.  As a gift for driving one of my friends into the city with me, I received the complete series of the BBC show Spaced along with a note saying she and her boyfriend saw it and thought of me. I am unsure if I should be offended by that.

Well I’ve watched 1.5 episodes so far…and I just don’t know. It seems to be the most bizarre show I’ve ever seen.  My roommate requested I never make her watch it again.

In all actuality, I think with the right people I could enjoy this show.  Probably only with Madison (giver of the gift).

This morning my boss IM’d me and asked me if I’d like a peanut butter cup. He then came out of his office and gave me said peanut butter cup. This wasn’t  just an ordinary Reese’s peanut butter cup, it was a high class, gourmet one.

He proceeded back into his office where he continued to IM me about the delicious peanut butter cups and how well they pair with coffee…which I was conveniently drinking.

Then, out of the blue, he asked me if I was a Harry Potter fan. A fairly big fan of the franchise, I, of course, said yes.  He proceeded to say, “Then you must know about Dementors.” I said I did in fact.  He then added, “You must also know that chocolate protects against Dementors.” So I thanked him for protecting me from the Dementors that were obviously running around the office.

And this is one of the reasons why I like my job Totally random and SO funny.  It’s not everyday you get to talk to your boss about dementors…

This came up on my iGoogle home page and I think it’s amazing and somes up fanatasy and nonsense and life in general so very well    Also, Dr. Seuss is simply magnificent.

I think I need a lesson in blogging. Not necessarily the act of writing a blog, because the general idea of blogging is you can write anything you darn well please…

I need a lesson in finding interesting blogs to read. I think what I’m seeking is some humorous blog documenting the random but hilarious details of some random person’s life.  Why is this so difficult to find?! I guess no one is as funny as I want them to be.  If you are the writer of such a blog and somehow came across this sorry excuse for a blog, please link me to yours or perhaps an interesting blog you frequently enjoy perusing.

Anyhow…I’ve decided I really want to make this blogging thing a more regular habit and start writing about the random but somewhat hilarious details of my life…on the rare occasion that such things occur.  So I’m going to start writing about my day like this is a journal because sometimes it’s good to just write things…even if it’s not important or remotely interesting.

Today I am going snowshoeing with my roommates and their dogs and some people I don’t really know.  I’ve never really gone snowshoeing so it ought to be a very interesting occurrence indeed.

Additionally…I wish the spell check came on automatically on this blogger…
